When you buy the new switch it also comes with a new supporting bracket, but as my bracket was OK I just pushed the new switch in, then reconnected the cables and then reverse assembled the fascia. So simply remove the two cables and pull the old switch out. Now you have access to the control module and the power switch itself, which judging by the colour of switch and cable connectors, was FRIED. There are numerous cables and a door latch, the only tricky bit is the door latch just unscrew that part and it all falls out. Once the screws are out gently pivot the whole fascia from the top going down. Just in case anyone strikes this you only need to remove the top 9 screws which secure the top outer fascia. I took a stab at it and found the main power switch available on Ebay for $29 or from an appliance spare parts outlet for $15.50.
